Circle has announced a strategic integration of native USDC on Plume, a blockchain tailored for real-world asset finance (RWAfi). The integration—slated for late September—marks a departure from bridged tokens like USDC.e and enables faster, safer settlement infrastructure for institutional onchain finance.
By leveraging Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) V2, the partnership offers secure cross-chain transfers and promotes seamless interoperability. “This is a catalyst for the next phase of real-world asset adoption,” said Plume’s Co-Founder, Teddy Pornprinya.
With USDC fully backed and regulated, institutions gain a trusted stablecoin for tokenized capital markets. Plume users will soon be able to collateralize transactions, mint pUSD, and conduct secure settlements using native USDC.
The collaboration enhances both Circle’s role as a stablecoin infrastructure leader and Plume’s position as a hub for compliant, scalable onchain markets. It also reinforces the demand for native USDC over bridged alternatives in growing decentralized finance ecosystems.
