A recent CoinGecko survey reveals that the majority of crypto users are open to allowing artificial intelligence (AI) agents to manage part of their investment portfolios. Out of 2,632 participants, 87% said they would trust AI with at least 10% of their crypto assets.
Nearly half of the respondents indicated they would allow AI agents to manage up to half of their portfolios, while about 36% would entrust most of their assets to AI. A smaller group, around 14.5%, expressed willingness to hand over their entire crypto portfolio to an AI agent.
However, opinions were split on whether AI can outperform humans in crypto trading and investment. About half of the participants believe AI will outperform humans, while the other half are still skeptical.
Additionally, trust issues persist when it comes to granting AI agents access to crypto wallets. 37.5% of respondents said they do not trust AI with wallet access, 34.5% expressed trust, and 27.9% remained neutral.
As AI technology advances within the Web3 space, its role in crypto portfolio management is becoming increasingly significant. Nevertheless, trust and technical hurdles will continue to shape the future of AI adoption in the crypto world.
