Kaal Dhairya, a lead developer for Shiba Inu, confirmed that the LEASH V2 migration will begin within a few days. This migration will introduce a fully audited smart contract, resolve supply instability issues, and ensure protection for both long-term holders and liquidity providers.
The LEASH V2 upgrade follows a fixed-ratio conversion that avoids supply dilution. Loyal holders receive full allocations, while those who exited early will get reduced rewards. The rollout is divided into three structured phases:
-
Phase 1: Individual holders and stakers on Uniswap V2 and ShibaSwap V1
-
Phase 2: Complex LP positions on Uniswap V3 and ShibaSwap V2, with snapshot and proof-of-withdrawal systems
-
Phase 3: Users on bridges and Shibarium with a simple 1:1 swap system
LEASH V2 is built using OpenZeppelin ERC-20 libraries and has been audited by Hexens, ensuring high-level security. The entire V2 supply is pre-minted and stored in a multisig wallet. V2 tokens will be distributed as V1 tokens are burned during migration.
The migration contract has no minting capabilities, reinforcing transparency and eliminating the risk of inflation.
Self-custody holders need not act yet, but stakers and LPs must unstake their assets before migrating. Phase 2 participants are advised to await further instructions.
At press time, Shiba Inu trades at $0.00001309, marking a 2.15% daily increase.
