Tether Limited, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has appointed former White House Crypto Council Executive Director Bo Hines as its new Strategic Advisor for Digital Assets and U.S. Strategy.
Hines, who served under the Trump administration, played a key role in advancing digital asset innovation, establishing clear guardrails for stablecoin issuers, and building collaboration between government and the blockchain industry.
In its official statement, Tether highlighted that Hines will work closely with leadership to guide the company’s U.S. strategy, engage regulators, and strengthen partnerships. CEO Paolo Ardoino praised Hines’ deep understanding of the legislative process and passion for practical blockchain adoption, calling him “an invaluable asset” for Tether’s U.S. ambitions.
Hines emphasized the transformative potential of stablecoins in modernizing payments and increasing financial inclusion. He stated that he is excited to join Tether at such a pivotal moment, helping deliver an ecosystem of products that ensure stability, compliance, and innovation for the U.S. market.
