XRP ETF Approval and Ripple IPO Expected in 2025?

As Ripple's IPO draws near, analysts caution investors not to assume XRP will follow the same path. Ripple shares are trading OTC at a $20 billion valuation, but there's no direct link between the company’s stock and the XRP token. Big investors may favor Ripple shares over XRP post-IPO.

Ripple has also applied for a U.S. national bank license, supporting the launch of its stablecoin RLUSD. This move aligns with upcoming regulations requiring stablecoins to be backed by real USD or U.S. Treasuries, potentially attracting institutional interest.

Most notably, Bloomberg analysts estimate a 95% chance of a spot XRP ETF approval by October. This would elevate XRP’s profile alongside other top-tier crypto assets.

However, rumors about a Ripple-Swift partnership are unfounded. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse confirmed the companies remain competitors. Additionally, Ripple’s monthly escrow releases are not dumping actions; around 70–80% are re-locked.

Meanwhile, XRP open interest (OI) in futures trading has hit an all-time high, surpassing $10 billion. This signals potential bullish momentum as XRP nears the $3.48 mark.
