The Midnight sidechain, one of the latest developments within the Cardano ecosystem, has begun attracting increasing attention from investors and developers. Its native token, NIGHT, has gained traction only months after launch, sparking discussions about its potential long-term valuation.
According to data shared by the Cardano analytics platform Cexplorer, the number of unique wallets holding NIGHT has expanded rapidly. In January, the network recorded approximately 28,892 unique wallets. That figure has since climbed to 54,682 wallets, representing an impressive 89% increase in holders in a relatively short period.
This sharp growth in the user base has strengthened bullish sentiment among some investors. Many market participants interpret the expanding holder count as a sign of increasing community adoption and rising interest in Midnight’s privacy-focused blockchain infrastructure.
At the time of writing, the NIGHT token is trading around $0.055, reflecting a modest decline of about 6% over the past week. However, the token has shown slight positive performance over shorter timeframes, including small gains on the daily and monthly charts. Despite this, NIGHT remains more than 90% below its all-time high of $1.81, which underscores the scale of the recovery required to revisit previous peak levels.
Crypto exchange Phemex has published one of the more optimistic outlooks for the token. According to its analysts, NIGHT could reach $0.15–$0.20 by 2026, driven by potential partnerships, improving market sentiment, and continued development within the Midnight ecosystem.
Looking further ahead, Phemex suggests that expansion of the Midnight validator network could push the token toward $0.25 in 2027. Continued ecosystem growth may lift the price to around $0.35 by 2028. In longer-term projections, Phemex expects NIGHT to fluctuate between $0.12 and $0.45 by 2029, with a potential rally toward $0.60 by 2030 if adoption accelerates.
On the other hand, crypto analytics platform CoinCodex provides a more conservative outlook. Its models project that NIGHT could climb to approximately $0.15 by late 2026, but may subsequently decline to $0.083 in 2027 and $0.063 by the end of 2028.
CoinCodex expects a gradual recovery thereafter, forecasting $0.081 by 2029 and a possible rise to $0.236 by 2030, before ending the year closer to $0.166.
Artificial intelligence-based forecasts offer a similarly cautious trajectory. According to ChatGPT projections, NIGHT could trade within a range of $0.05 to $0.21 in the near term. Longer-term estimates suggest gradual expansion to $0.23 in 2027, $0.35 in 2028, and $0.45 in 2029. By 2030, the token could fluctuate within a wide range between $0.07 and $0.60, depending on market conditions and ecosystem adoption.
Across most forecasts, analysts agree on one central theme: NIGHT may not necessarily reclaim its previous all-time high within this decade. Instead, its long-term price trajectory will depend heavily on several key factors, including the adoption of Midnight’s privacy technology, expansion of the ecosystem, regulatory developments, and overall growth within the cryptocurrency market.
Another important milestone approaching is the planned Midnight mainnet launch, which analysts believe could significantly influence the token’s future performance.
However, the broader crypto market remains highly volatile. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index currently sits at 26, signaling strong market fear. As a result, while long-term forecasts provide useful insight, the actual price of NIGHT by 2030 will ultimately depend on evolving market conditions and real-world adoption of the Midnight network.
